Maybe Obama would make a good legislator after all. He certainly does
show creativity by inventing “campaign rules.”
It’s hard to keep up with all these new rules, especially when Obama
makes them up as he goes and announces them daily. But be of good cheer: You’re
Ol’ pal, Bob is going to list the rules for you.
NOTE: Additional rules will
probably be made up today before this even gets published, so my list, although
thorough, may be incomplete.
Rule One: Nobody is allowed to criticize Michelle Obama. Oh sure, she can
say anything she wants on the campaign trail. She can talk about the United
States as if she’s planning on running
for office herself, but in reality, only her husband is running for president,
so how dare you say anything about a possible First Lady?
Rule Two: No more talk about Rev. Wright. OK, so Obama listened to him
for twenty years. He says that in all that time he never heard any racist talk
and we should believe him. After, all Rev. Wright is very subtle in the way he
communicates and it’s so easy to see how Obama may have missed some of his hidden
messages. When I, myself, listen to this man preach, I’m left clueless.
I have no idea how he feels about America, Louis Farrakhan
or anything else.
Rule Three: No more talk about Obama’s connection/friendship with
terrorist, Bill Ayers. Remember, Obama
was only six years old during the attempted terrorist attack. Of course, Ayers
still talks about what he did openly while teaching at a university. He shows
no remorse and even brags about his terror connections. This all happens in
present day and I think Obama is a little older than six years old today. Yes,
he must be or he would not be qualified to run for president. So why isn’t it
fair game to talk about Obama’s connection to a terrorist? Because it has nothing to do with the
important issues of the day. The American people want to hear about the issues.
The American people are tired of character assassination. Obama plans to bring
about change and that is all you really need to know. After all, you want
change don’t you? Well, don’t you?
Rule Four: It is wrong to bring attention to Hamas’ endorsement of
Obama. He can’t help it if they endorsed him and he didn’t ask for their
endorsement. He did promise to sit down and talk with terrorist leaders and I
suppose that might have had something to do with the reason they like him so much, but still,
to even mention that a terrorist group is in favor of Obama is to take a cheap
shot.
Rule Five: It was wrong for George Bush to give a speech in Israel on the
futility of talking with terrorists.
This was a foul because we all know Bush was dropping hints about Obama.
How do we know? Not because Bush mentioned Obama’s name. He didn’t. We know
because this is what Obama has actually promised to do. Of course, now Obama has changed
the story, saying that he would not sit down with such men without conditions.
Hmm…Well if that’s the case, then why is he so sure Bush was talking about him?
Why take offense over the suggestion of appeasement if he really doesn’t plan appeasement?
This is getting very confusing. Better to not even think about it. If you do think about it, you are full of
hate.
Well, those are the rules up to now. More will follow, but in the
meantime, these five things are off boundary. So what exactly are we allowed to
talk about today? Well, I still enjoy
Slurpees at 7-11. What does that have to do with Obama’s campaign? Nothing! But
evidently we aren’t allowed to discuss the issues of the campaign, so,
yeah….Slurpees at 7-11. Talk about them.
Oh…And (one more time) you can always continue the discussion about
change.
