I know I've been blogging a lot about Obama lately. What can I
say? He's big in the news right now. I wish it were not so. In
any event, I have decided to summarize/distill down some of my major
points about Obama. Here, fresh off the press, is the new Barack
Obama Lexicon! It's a different kind of lexicon, defining, not words,
but phrases. Knock yourself out, kid.
Obama Quote One: "Democrats and Republicans need to come together in unity."
Real Meaning: "Republicans need to give in and do things the way the Democrats want them done."
Obama Quote Two: "I will bring about change."
Real Meaning: "And that's all you will have left in your pockets, change."
Obama Quote Three: "Rev. Wright's racist speeches surprised me."
Real Meaning: "Actually, I heard that stuff so much over the last 20
years, I took it for granted. I also thought American white people had
been guilted into believing all the things we say about them, so the
real surprise was all the controversy this caused."
Obama Quote Four: "I am a friend of Israel."
Real Meaning: "I need the liberal Jewish vote. After I get it, I'll
sell Israel down the river just like our previous administrations."
Obama Quote Five: "The rich need to pay their fair share of taxes."
Real Meaning: "The 90 percent they already pay is not enough."
Obama Quote Six: "We need to do something about Global Warming."
Real Meaning: "We need to tax companies until their brains fall out."
Obama Quote Seven: "I'm a believer in Jesus."
Real Meaning: "The Jesus I believe in does not claim to be the only way
of salvation. He is also for gay marriage and only some of the words in
the Bible are inspired by God. Which ones? Um...Let's see...The ones I
like."
Obama Quote Eight: "Hillary Clinton ran a spirited campain and she deserves our admiration."
Real Meaning: "If a house dropped on her head, I would sing and celebrate with every Munchkin in Munchkin Land."
