This series of articles (each one written as a blog for Town
Hall) is dedicated to the skeptic or doubter.
The term doubt should never be
viewed as a four-letter word. I have
deep respect for those who ask questions, rather than making decisions
on an impulse. Of course, not all skeptics are members of
the Humanist Club or scoffers of religion.
Perhaps you were raised a Christian, but you’ve reached a point in life
where you are now trying to decide for yourself what you truly believe. Or maybe you converted to Christianity
hastily after some persuasive conference speaker gave an alter call or in the
midst of a warm, friendly retreat.
Possibly you are now slowing down, catching your breath and evaluating
this decision. All skeptics are welcome
in these pages, both inside and outside the church.
The purpose is simple: I am attempting to eliminate the
barriers that might keep people from accepting the truth about Jesus Christ,
His divine claims, and His offer of salvation for the forgiveness of sin.
