It Used To Be That Candidates Held Babies. This One Votes To Kill Them.

So, your friends are enamored with Obama?  Even some of your Evangelical Christian friends? You can't talk them out of following this Pied Piper? They don't care about mandatory redistribution of wealth? They don't care about the suppression of freedom through Hate Speech legislation?  It matters to them little that this guy will sit down and smoke peace pipes with Ahamadinnejad?   Well, allow me to share another reason not to vote for the demagogue de jour, one seldom discussed, the granddaddy reason of all: Obama believes in killing babies!  No, I'm not talking about abortion, even though that too, is the taking of  a life. I'm not even talking about Partial Birth Abortion, which is much more obviously the taking of a life. People have already accepted his "Pro-Choice" positions on those practices. No, right now, I am talking about an action that even liberals must confess to be infanticide.

The Illinois Born Alive Infant Protection Act was introduced to protect babies who had survived abortions, from being destroyed by hospitals. I mean, babies that were actually born!  Babies removed from the womb! A hospital in Illinois had been going ahead and terminating these shelved babies. Oh wait!  I almost forgot. They didn't call them babies. They called them "fetuses."  Of course, fetus is just the Latin word for baby anyway. But it didn't matter. The original intent had been to abort them, so when they survived the abortion, it only seemed fitting to finish the job. For this reason, a bill was introduced to protect these helpless children. The federal version of the bill passed. While discussing the Illinois state version of the bill, Obama claimed that this proposed law was just a device for the eventual overturning of Roe Vs. Wade. That may be, Obama, but we are still living in the present and we are still talking about infanticide. And frankly, I'm tired of that one liner about how you oppose abortion for religious reasons but you cannot impose your religion on others. Was Martin Luther King imposing his religion on others when he invoked the Bible in the name of anti-discrimination?  I mean, honestly, that popular Pro-Choice response has had more performances than Phantom of the Opera, so you can take this clever mantra and serve it on toast. You do not support abortion and infanticide out of concern for separation between church and state. You support it out of a concern for pleasing your liberal lobbyists and voters who keep you in power.

Yes, even Evangelicals are supporting the candidate who, instead of holding babies, votes to kill babies. One might think they would ask themselves how Jesus felt about killing babies. And so, perhaps this little known fact about Obama will curve some of your discussions with your friends. But don't count on it. People don't like to hear about dead babies. They'll talk about a woman's right to chose and accuse you of being a chauvinist. They might also bring up race and suggest that your true problem with Obama is his skin color. The idea that you might be in favor of women's rights and that you could care less about skin color and that you might just be concerned for human life, is a notion that does not make its way into political discussion today.

God save our country and God save our children. Obama sure as heck won't.
