These days, in news and politics, the popular phrase is
“fair and balanced.” Well, heck! I’m a
fair guy, so even though it’s no secret how I feel about Obama, I am going to
offer a more even handed approach. Please find below, two lists with 20 points
apiece. The first list is the case against Obama and the second list is
the case for Obama. This way, my readers can become familiar with both
sides and make their own decisions. Knock yourselves out!
The Case Against Barrack Obama
1) He says he will give a tax cut to the middle class but
voted against every single tax cut that would have benefited the middle class.
2) He voted against a bill that would have stopped
infanticide in hospitals.
3) He lied about his infanticide vote.
4) He said that those who claimed he lied about his
infanticide vote are liars.
5) He attended the church of a vile, racist pastor for 20
years, called the man his mentor, named a book after this man, had the man
perform his wedding, had the man baptize his children and then claimed he was
unfamiliar with the man’s racist ideas.
6) He worked closely with a self-confessed, unrepentant
terrorist.
7) He used his power as a senator to take legal action
against an organization that put out an ad talking about his relationship with
this same terrorist.
8) He says he would sit down and talk to terrorist dictators
without pre-conditions.
9) He claims to be a Christian but he denies major Christian
beliefs, such as, salvation through Christ alone and the entire Bible being the word of God.
10) He wears a pin honoring a soldier who died in battle and claims he supports the troops, but
he voted against funding for the troops and accused the troops of war
crimes.
11) He claims the war in Iraq
is not crucial to the war on terror. On this point he is in disagreement with
Bin Laden and other Al-Qaeda leaders who say the war in Iraq
is essential to the war on terror.
12) He claims that John McCain will be four more years of
George Bush even though McCain opposed Bush time and again. Since that is a
matter of public record, he is simply lying through his teeth about McCain and
he hopes you will be too stupid to notice.
13) He claims to be in favor of the Fairness Doctrine and
Hate Speech Legislation, two bills designed to essentially silence those who do
not agree with the Left.
14) He fails to mention that it was mostly
Democrats who opposed regulation of
Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (the two institutions which created much of
the
financial disaster upon us) when Bush and McCain asked for such
regulation
quite some time ago, warning us of what might happen if mortgages for
people who could not afford to pay them back were not discontinued.
15) He claims Bush and McCain are responsible for the financial
mess we are in because they were not in favor of regulation.
16) He received a huge financial benefit from Fannie Mae,
almost more than any one else.
17) He talks a lot about unity, but his definition of unity
is that Republicans should do things the way the Democrats want them done.
18) He chastised McCain for being too partisan, even though
McCain has fought Republicans often and voted against them often. As for
Barrack himself? He has never voted against the Democrats on any major bill.
19) Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Some gangster helped him get a
nice house for a low rate.
20) WILD CARD!
This last point is a kind of proxy for any of the other points I might have
forgotten. I must confess, it is hard to keep track of them all.
The Case For Barrack Obama
1) On ABC’s The View, Barbara Walters said he was
sexy.
