We have a president who knows absolutely nothing about Islam, (militant or otherwise) and who knows literally zip about the history of the Middle East. If he talked to some legitimate historians or terrorist experts instead of pollsters and political hacks, President Obama could receive a genuine education, but I do not believe that is going to happen.
Here is what our president does not know, or at the very least, displays zero awareness of:
The countries of the Middle East HATE Israel, but they RESPECT Israel because she is a nation willing to use strength. Strength is valued in the Arab/Muslim world and weakness is not. This means the only time Israel is not respected is when she makes a deal with evil cut throats, rapists and terrorists like, the PLO, Hamas, or any country sponsoring them. Is it a coincidence that Israel is attacked immediately after every single treaty, deal or withdrawal?
Likewise, the "friendly Middle East line up" may have HATED George Bush, but they RESPECTED George Bush.
Even though President Obama seems insufferably pleased with himself because he gave a speech in Egypt that was greeted with applause, he would be mighty surprised to learn that the countries of the Middle East do not really care for him any more than Bush because he too (in their opinion) heads "the Great Satan." Now, when I say they do not like Obama, I do not mean that they are unhappy he won the presidency. On the contrary, they are delighted that he won the presidency! They want to dance and sing about the victory. They love the fact that Obama is in power because it means they can use him. But they do not respect him.
We will undoubtedly be attacked again. Obama will attempt to blame it on George Bush rather than his own unwillingness to confront an enemy that brags daily about how it will destroy the United States. Many Americans will accept Obama's appraisal of the situation. They too, will blame it on Bush, even though Bush will have long since vacated the Oval Office. Why? Because they received the same education Obama did, an education from today's American universities. These days, one must to to college to learn that down means up, up means down, good means evil and evil means Israel, America, Christianity or Bush. Evil never means people who want to slam planes into our buildings and cut our heads off simply because we do not share their religion.
