For today's blog: Just a simple question, even though some will call me a lover of the rich and hater of the poor for daring to even ask the question.
If, as Obama promises, the government is not trying to completely take over health care the way those nasty Conservatives suggest in their fear mongering, and if, instead, the government will only offer a public option as a means to an end, that end being that everybody can have affordable health care of some sort, and if private insurance companies are no longer going to be allowed to refuse people or drop people due to preconditions or any condition, and if by law they must also be affordable, and if by law all employers are going to be required to provide health care or pay a fee, and if the government option, just like any other option, is going to cost money, either through a premium or a tax, then why is the government option even needed?
Inquiring minds want to know. Obama is hoping there will be no inquiring minds.
