A tearful Nancy Pelosi is challenging people on the Right to tone down their rhetoric. If not, the fierce objections to President Obama might lead to some kind of violence and even though Miss Pelosi accepts free speech, all who oppose the president with strong words will need to take responsibility if some nut does something stupid and physical, which means, of course, that she does not accept free speech. The halo laced rebuke comes from the woman who called the CIA liars and who labeled the Town Hall demonstrators Nazis. Oh yes, this delightful lady certainly wrote the book on civil discourse. I guess that's why she feels so free to lecture the rest of us.
Let's be clear: Our Speaker of the House only accepts free speech if it is speech she agrees with and is only concerned with the tone of words when they are words that challenge her unsupportable positions. The very idea that our country was once led by people such as Thomas Jefferson, John Adams,and George Washington and is now piloted by the likes of this shameless, disgraceful excuse for a congresswoman, ought to bring about a moment of pause and reflection: Just what on Earth has happened to America?
