Zachary Christie is six years old. He goes to school in Newark, Delaware, or at least he used to before committing his terrible, heinous crime. I'll bet you never thought up to now that a six year old could do anything evil unless you were watching The Omen. Well, think again: Zachary is bad and I mean REAL BAD!!! What did the little nipper do? OK, hold on to your seats because this is going to knock those socks right off: He brought his new Cub Scout eating utensil to school so that he could use it at lunch time. Sounds harmless, you say? Well, a lot you know: The utensil included a knife!
Since this violates the school's zero tolerance policy on weapons, young Zach faces 45 days in reform school. Assuming for a moment that the eating utensil was a genuine problem, they couldn't just talk to the kid and ask him not to bring it back? Or, if they absolutely have to punish him, they couldn't make Zak stay after school one day to erase blackboards? Instead, they ship him off to reform school? REFORM SCHOOL? Is it just me, or is anyone concerned that in reform school, a Cub Scout might be around genuinely dangerous kids?
And that's the latest from our current world of logic and wisdom. Obama's Safe School Czar, who complimented a supporter of NAMBLA and encouraged a male high school student to have sex with an older gentleman that was molesting him, doesn't concern today's educators. But when a Cub Scout brings an eating utensil to school, that concerns them!
