On Joy Beyer's new talk show for the CNN Headline News Channel, famous historical author, Gore Vidal shared his lament about the days of the Bush administration. More specifically, Vidal regretted that he had not jumped into his television set while Bush was giving a speech and killed the man. Joy laughed and said, "You missed your opportunity."
Yeah, yeah. I'm sure this was intended as a joke but the hatred they shared with each other for President Bush was not a joke. Meanwhile, can you just try to imagine any Conservative commentator saying such a thing about President Obama, kidding or not kidding? Is there any chance this side of Hades that he'd get away with a statement like that? Can you imagine hearing about anything else in the news for literally months afterward? Do you think for one moment heads would not roll?
In the dictionary, next to the word Hypocrisy, it says "See today's mainstream media."
