President Obama spoke with some college students in China about the internet, how important such an exchange of information is, and how he hopes for the day when China can embrace similar freedom of expression. Somehow, he managed to say all of this with a straight face.
Obama also spoke about the criticism he receives from many Americans and how good this is for the country. Of course, our president was lying through his teeth inasmuch as his own appointed internet and FCC czars are working round the clock to shut down all dissenting opinion. He also signed a bill recently on Hate Crimes Legislation which will significantly curtail the freedom in our nation to offer opposing viewpoints on lifestyles such as homosexuality.
Good job, Mr. President. You just keep on lecturing the Chinese about freedom. Meanwhile, to make better use of your time over there, please pass the sweet and sour shrimp while we're still free (at the moment) to eat the kinds of foods we wish. But do it fast. I'm sure shrimp, so prepared, contributes somehow to global warming, another of your many causes that will soon keep our liberty in a cage like some kind of pet.
