Drive-Throughs Aren't Really That Much Faster, Are They?

You just have love these drive-through hamburger joints such as Wendy's or Jack in the Box. The other day my car was behind a mother with a van and a couple of kids (never a good sign) and I kid you not, it took her some 15 minutes to order. This is because her order was a special one, and she wanted to make very certain that all the subtle nuances were clear.

You know the kind of thing I'm talking about: "Two Number Ones. On the first one, hold the tomato and hold the mayo. But extra lettuce please and two pickles. On the second, we want the tomato and the mayo and also extra lettuce but no ketchup or mustard. Then, instead of a small soda, we want two medium milkshakes, one of them chocolate, the other half chocolate and half strawberry. Then we'll also have a Number Two, only I don't want it as a cheeseburger, just as a hamburger. I know it's supposed to be a bacon-cheese burger but I can't eat cheese due to allergies. I do want the bacon though, which is why I'm still ordering a Number Two, but could you only put on one piece?  Because I won't eat two pieces. Then...Um...Ah...Let's see, what kinds of diet drinks do you have?...Oh..Just give me a Mountain Dew. And then, can I exchange the fries for onion rings? Oh, extra napkins and five packs of salt."

Of course, this well thought out discourse is being relayed to a clerk who doesn't speak a word of English anyway. The ambitious customer could have been ordering one cup of coffee for all the difference it made.

Look how much we we already knew about our president 6 months ago and compare it to what has happened since with Czar appointments who range from being Marxist, to articulating support for NAMBLA, to wanting Sharia Law, to wanting mandatory abortions, to wanting animals to have the right to sue humans....and....I could go on and on. How many more can you think of? Wish I could offer you a prize, but then, this is nothing to celebrate.

Sometimes the Truth is Just Staring Us in the Face

For over a year, a debate has been growing amongst Conservatives. We all agree that the people surrounding Obama are dangerous, ranging from downright terrorists and bigots like Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright, to the plethora of Socialistic philosophers and self avowed Marxists who decorate his House of Czars.

The question on the table: Do these people represent Obama's honest look at the world or has the vetting process been sloppy?  I appreciate the tendency to give our president the benefit of the doubt. I have done so myself in the past, feeling skeptical, but with a sense of fair play. Having said that, the time has come to admit the obvious: I do not believe Obama's friends, associates, Czars and cabinet appointments got over the fence by accident. I am convinced he already knew every single, solitary thing they stood for. Indeed, that is just exactly why they were hired. They may come across like the nuttiest, scariest kooks you ever witnessed, and Obama's persona may seem tame by comparison, but it should interest you to know that in his biography, he admitted and explained exactly what is going on. He told us in his own words how radical acquaintances and colleagues felt they needed a nicer looking, gentler sounding face as a more effective courier to their revolutionary message.  Yes, people, Obama himself told us the truth long ago, even though he now tries to cut ties when a Czar or two reveal their true intentions a little more quickly than scheduled and drive down his approval rating.

Even as I remind you of Obama's confession on record, you may still have trouble believing that this nightmare is real, and not merely a form of REM sleep that we will soon happily awaken from. How can a president with any sense surround himself with such radicals?  The answer is actually quite simple: In his mind they are not radical. These are the people he grew up with. These are the people who educated him. These are his fellow students. These are his friends. This is the world Obama knows. This is the mainstream. It is the opposing world views that look foreign to him. In President Obama's mind, they are the normal ones, not us. They have the high ground on morality, not us.  Yes, Obama was aware that many in our country would not accept Boris or Natasha, but the election evidently gave him a swelled head and delusions of godhood. I believe the man thought he could get away with anything, even force feeding our country what it doesn't want, but what he and his buds (in their arrogance) know we need.

The time has come to confront reality head on: There is nothing wrong with the Obama administration's vetting process: But there is plenty wrong with the Obama administration's objectives.

Listen, I'm the President. I'll Tell You What's News and What Isn't News.

His spokespeople and handlers have already shot off their big mouths, but now we have finally heard from Obama himself. In an MSNBC interview, he was asked about FOX News. Our president responded by saying that Fox News is no different than Talk Radio.

Oh really, Mr. President?  And what about  MSNBC?  Did Chris Matthews sound like he was on Talk Radio for claiming one of your speeches sent a chill up his leg? Does Keith Olberman sound like he's on Talk Radio when he gives out his "Idiot of the Week Award" generally, (by an amazing coincidence) to some conservative commentator whom he does not agree with?

Oh wait!  I forgot!  When news editorial shows agree with Obama, they are not like Talk Radio. How silly of me!

Mr. President, maybe your time would be better served by continuing to fight the war on terrorism and discontinuing this crusade against people who object to your policies. Not everybody is going to faint every time you give a lecture. After all, this is still, America, at least for another five or ten minutes.

And Now, An Internet Czar Too

With the help of his new "Internet Czar," Susan Crawford, Obama will now set about to take control over the internet. There is already a bill working its way through Congress to give him such power during a time of emergency, but just in case he doesn't want to wait that long, they have come up with another idea.

Crawford (who has ties to both ACORN and the ONE WEB DAY PROJECT) says about the internet; "We should do a better job as a nation of making sure fast, affordable broadband is as obiquitous as electricity, water, snail mail or any other public utility."

In other words, some of that stimulus package that "helped out the banks and auto industry" will now disburse funds which make the internet more accessible to those who cannot afford to pay for an internet provider. But, as we have already seen, once the government throws their gold coins, they become a partial owner and feel entitled to attach regulations like Christmas lights on a purse string.

By an amazing coincidence, ONE WEB DAY PROJECT lists Free Press as a participating organization. Free Press was founded by self professed Marxist, Robert McChensey (Sheesh! Another Marxist? They're crawling out of the wood work like cockroaches!) McChensey recently said over a website called, SOCIALIST PROJECT,  " Instead of waiting for the revolution to happen, we learned that unless you make significant changes in the media, it will be vastly more difficult to have a revolution."

Concurrently, Obama's other Czar, Mark Lloyd, wants FCC regulations for "more diversity" on the radio. It's time to start connecting the dots, people. Once the government runs the internet, they will complain that we do not have enough diversity over the World Wide Web just as we hear too much conservative chit chat over the airwaves. Now, honestly, can you think of anything, and I mean ANYTHING more diverse than the internet right now? Politics run the gambit of blogs like TownHall.com to MoveOn.org. On the web, you can find every conceivable opinion about religion, film, culture, sports, fishing, boating, sex, kitchen patterns,  pets, or even 17th Century British embroidery! And we need more diversity?  That's only code for "Diversity which respects different people groups," which is code for "We must not offend certain people," which is code for, "It will be against the law to say anything that is not Politically Correct, or more accurately, put, anything Obama does not want us to say."  The man doesn't care about sensitivity or combating offensive words so much as he cares about power. The major newspapers are not enough. Every television news network (except FOX) is not enough. PBS (paid for by your tax dollars) is not enough. Our president does not want to be criticized anywhere at all,  period! That's it! And if he has to flush out the last bastion of free speech like a bloodhound on a fox hunt, well, saddle up, Czars!. Obama's proposed laws are designed around diversity the way submarines were designed to explore creeks.

I Just Have To Wonder...

Coming soon to a theater near you: The fantastic cinematic event, entitled 2012, a film about the end of the world, due to the Earth's  crust cracking. (Ouch! That's gotta smart.) Oh, I almost forgot: This cataclysm coincides with some prediction from an ancient Mayan calender.

Golly, inasmuch as this is a Hollywood production, you don't suppose the end of the world will have anything to do with Global Warming, do you? Perhaps not. Then again, somehow I just can't imagine the "dramatic twist" being anything else. Probably we'll also hear about what a superior culture the Mayans were to Western cultures, with all talk about Mayan human sacrifices to their gods being conspicuously omitted.

One has to wonder how many people today believe in Global Warming and Western bad guys as a result of stupid movies rather than honest-to-goodness facts. One also craves for the day when Hollywood (ideology not withstanding) will simply get creative again.

NOTE: I know this was my second "art" prediction in just one week. Sorry about that and thanks for indulging me. I'll try not to do any more for a while. Please understand; If these forecasts come true, I will take no pleasure in being right. It is actually depressing that such stories are so easy to predict, but by offering a projection ahead of time, I am hoping to expose the pattern and grid in my ongoing tradition of making the obvious obvious.

A Hero By Any Other Name Might Just Be A Villian

White House Communications Director, Anita Dunn was all over the tube last week for challenging the integrity of Fox News. President Obama may regret the tactic of using this woman. A video recently surfaced that has destroyed all her credibility. Miss Dunn is now on record claiming that her two favorite philosophers are Mother Teresa and Mao-Tse-Tung. She made these comments at the St. Andrews Episcopal High School commencement in June but she probably never gambled on Glen Beck getting a hold of the video.

Wow! Yeah! Mother Teresa and Mao-Tse-Tung!  I get those two mixed up all the time. Not that they're completely identical: It is possible to make some distinction. We can do a little bit of the ol' compare/contrast. For example, Mother Teresa dedicated her life to helping people and Chairman Mao dedicated his life to killing people. In point of fact, the man slaughtered some 34 million!  But then, praising Communist/Socialist philosophy seems to be fashionable today if you want to sound extra cool and intellectually progressive. Some are so caught up in the euphoria that they quickly, blindly, leap frog over those finer, minute, little details called facts.. If Anita Dunn does not know what a butcher Mao-Tse-Tung was, if instead she resonates with him merely for his Karl Marx type wealth redistribution views, she is not qualified for public office. If she does know, then she herself is an abomination. But then, the more we learn about our current President's appointees, the more Obamanations we find (No, I am not original in coining that term, but gosh, it sure gets more and more appropriate every day, doesn't it?)

Bo Snerdley, call sceener for Rush Limbaugh and himself an African-American, wrote a blog today in which he takes the NFL and the race baiters to task over the way his friend Limbaugh has been treated. One might have thought the very fact that he and Rush were close friends and co-workers for many, many years would have told us long ago that Limbaugh does not seem to have any genuine problem with African-Americans. This whole thing ought to be a no-brainer, but then, since when did brains have anything to do with Political Correctness?

Hey, Chicken Little! The Next Time An ACORN Hits You On the Head, Know This: The Sky Really is Falling!

So, you think Congress finally did the right thing about ACORN, that crooked, election fraud motivated organization brought down by a sting operation which revealed staff workers willing to help people cheat on their taxes and organize prostitution style slavery? You were relieved to hear that Congress voted to stop their funding? Well, think again. The cessation of ACORN's funding discontinues on October 31st. Just in time for Halloween. Wow! This punitive action lasted a whole month! Of course, the temporal nature of the action was not mentioned when an embarrassed Congress, which gives millions of dollars to ACORN, felt the need to correct their reputations. But then, we should have expected this sneaky little back peddling field maneuver. Our snake-like, cowardly politicians are beholding to a monster entity that put so many of them into power.

Hey, I have an idea: Why don't we the people vote to stop funding Congress? Only let's stop the funding for more than one month.

Today, I will Say Something About A Princess and a Frog

Walt Disney has started advertising his new movie, The Princess and the Frog. OK, I wrote a blog predicting the ending to the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. To this day, I haven't seen that horrible retread, but those who did, confirmed my prediction that this time, the visiting aliens would not be chastising the world about war and would instead lecture us about global warming. Evidently the film came across as a sequel to Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth.

And so, being on a roll, I will predict the ending to The Princess and the Frog. Instead of the frog becoming a handsome prince, the princess will learn to not be so human-centric and will instead opt to become a frog permenantly. After all, frogs are every bit as beautiful and as valuable as people and it is only our own racist, anthropologist thinking  that would make us feel otherwise.  This would be similar to the ending of Shrek (which I also predicted).

Now, look: When I make these guesses, you know I do not mean to brag about any prophetic skills. It's just that Hollywood has gotten that predictable and that Politically Correct.

Crazy Like A Fox

The Obama administration finally came out in the open with their utter disdain for Fox News. I think we already got the hint when Obama appeared on six different Sunday news interview shows, conspicuously skipping Fox.

The official word from White House Communications Director Anita Dunn: "Let's not pretend they're a news network the way CNN is....We see Fox right now as the source and the outlet for Republican Party talking points."

Fox denies taking talking points from the Republican Party and I could convince you of their sincerity with just two quick examples, Sean Hannity and Glen Beck.  Easily among the most controversial and conservative of Fox commentators, both men have launched tremendous criticism toward the Republican Party for not being conservative enough and for selling Conservatives up the river. Beck has even described Republicans to be as corrupt as the Democrats.

Then there's Bill O'Reilly, a self professed Independent. True, he articulates many conservative ideas, but the man is also pro-choice and anti capital punishment.

Oh yes, we almost forgot the Liberals who work for Fox News: There's Geraldo Rivera, Alan Colmes, Gretta Van Susteren, Shepard Smith, Juan Williams, Mara Liason, Ellis Hanigan, and on Fox News Sunday, (the program Obama skipped) he would have been interviewed by Mike Wallace's son, Chris Wallace. Chris, like his dad, is a Liberal. On the other hand, his liberal background does not prevent him from asking tough and fair questions to both Democrats and Republicans alike, you know, the kinds of questions journalists are supposed to ask, the kinds of questions Obama is not used to. He prefers things like, "How's your family?" or "Where are you and Michelle going on your next date?" or, "What's your favorite kind of waffle?"

Fox News does tilt to the right somewhat, but the other news networks tilt 180 degrees to the left! On Fox, we truly hear both sides and this drives Obama nuts. He's used to MSNBC and CNN kissing his behind. He's also used to CBS, ABC, NPR, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the the secular college campus. The man is livid and absolutely beside himself that there remain a few corners of the world such as Fox News and Talk Radio who do not blindly march in step. When people spoke out against Bush, Democrats lectured us with a reminder that this was the kind of healthy dissent which characterizes America. But now Bush is gone and according to these same outspoken Democrats, those who object to Obama are standing in the way of unity and progress.

Fox is crazy all right. Crazy like a fox. Obama should wake up and realize that Fox gets more viewers than the other cable news networks combined. This is because people are tired of having the news spoon fed through interpretive filters. They want to hear both sides and they want to think for themselves. In other words, they understand that what Obama falsely accuses Fox of doing, the other networks are doing!

This Time, I'm Glad Obama Forgot to Vet Him

Obama's twenty year relationship with the honorable Rev. Wright, has gotten him into the kind of trouble he hopes we will all forget and put behind us, but interestingly enough, his new pastor is every bit as controversial. Carey Cash, a Navy chaplain at Camp David, has come under criticism for proselytizing in the military. Of course, we're commanded to share our faith in the Bible and evangelism doesn't hurt people unless one threatens to kill those who refuse to convert, which leads to Cash's other vice: He is willing to call Islam a violent religion. Hmm...Islam, a violent religion? Where oh where would he have gotten an idea like that? Man, this guy is dangerous.

According to Rev. Cash, Islam is  "...a violent faith that from its birth has used the edge of the sword as a means to convert or conquer those with different religious convictions."

Last night, zealous Sean Hannity added Rev.Cash's name to the list of troublesome Obama appointments and partners, saying, "When will this president learn to start vetting people?"  I'm a big admirer of Sean Hannity but I cannot agree with him this time. Although Sean does a good job of speaking out against Militant-Islam, he has evidently bought into the lie about Islam-At -Large, namely that most Muslims are peaceful and only a few nutty terrorists have hijacked this benign faith. For the record:  Islam is not a peaceful religion and its founder, Mohammad absolutely commanded violence in the name of Allah (Surah 9). Obama's pastor was one-hundred percent accurate.

Having said that, I am convinced Obama did not know about Cash's beliefs and they will undoubtedly concern him more than all the dope dug up on his other controversial comrades. Unlike these additional associates whom the president  dismisses only after kicking and screaming, (or doesn't dismisses at all) Obama will drop  Rev. Cash  faster than he can apologize to holy Egypt for evil America. Already, his spokespeople are denying that the man is actually Obama's pastor. Obama just attends his services a lot, but that doesn't mean Rev. Cash is his pastor.

To those of you who like Obama and are concerned that he could have chosen such a dangerous Right-Wing mentor for spiritual guidance: Give the guy a break. This was only an accident. I'm sure when our president searched for a new minister, he never intended to find a true Christian who actually obeys the Bible and honestly assesses the Koran. It's all a mistake and the mistake will be quickly rectified.

At Long Last, A Lie People Can Really Wrap Their Brains Around

I guess the Nobel Prize is not the only tarnished award these days. The Pulitzer is running close behind if former Pulitzer Prize winner, Karen Hunter is any example. Hunter is also a journalism professor at City University of New York. I mention her teaching position because she should be immediately fired. She won't be. Nobody is going to get released from a secular  university for saying bad things about Conservative Radio Talk Show Host, Rush Limbaugh, even if what they say is a down right lie that they are unable to substantiate in any way, shape, or form.

Interviewed on MSNBC about Limbaugh's attempt to buy the St. Louis Rams, Hunter ascribed an absolutely hideous comment to Limbaugh:   "He even said that Dr. Martin Luther King, his killer, James Earl Ray, should have a medal given to him, a medal of honor. He says, 'We miss you, James.' You can go on line to the Top Ten Rush Limbaugh racist comments."

That was her statement and quotation on MSNBC. Since then, the buzz is all over the internet and other television stations And of course, Jessie Jackson rushed to the scene to denounce Limbaugh and officially sanction the racist charge. Jackson acted with the same swiftness and forethought with which he denounced that Lacrosse team a few years ago. Remember? Those men who were accused of raping an African-American stripper at a party? Their innocence was eventually proved, but Jackson issued no apology.

And now the target is Limbaugh, an easy target to be sure. Maybe you disagree with Limbaugh's politics. Maybe you do not care for his personality or you despise the way he expresses himself over the air. That's fine. But know this: The allegation is a wicked, crystal clear lie. Rush Limbaugh never made any such comment. If he had, (and it is claimed that he said it years ago) why would the tongue twister only be coming out now? Every one of Rush's radio shows is recorded. Who gets scrutinized more than Rush Limbaugh? Organizations have been monitoring his every word for years in the hopes of getting him kicked off the air. The man can't clear his throat without it becoming news. He never made the statement, or let me put it another way:  If he did, people have failed to produce it. All Karen Hunter offered as verification was a quote from some website. Is this the kind of responsible journalism we embrace today? A Pulitzer Prize winning journalism teacher, instead of checking her sources, merely repeats something she read on a Limbaugh bashing computer page?  I don't care what your opinion is of Rush Limbaugh.  Everyone, and I mean everyone who embraces truth should join me in protesting this outrage.

It's not enough anymore that people distort or incorrectly understand the voice of Conservatism. Now, they have resorted to simply making things up. And then, as with most snowball effects, others hop on the bandwagon. Chris Matthews, in response to this "news," said on his own Hardball program about Rush, "Somebody's going to jam a CO2 pellet and he's going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet. But we'll be there to watch."

Now, I'm not inventing this statement from Chris Matthews the way the statement about Limbaugh was invented. Believe it or not, this one can actually be verified. (Go figure.)  He really said it over MSNBC. It was recorded. You can both watch and listen to it yourself in places like YouTube.

Chris Matthews, the man Rush once allowed to substitute host his own radio show. A man of loyalty, loyalty to the consistent Left which would go into cardiac arrest if a conservative commentator dared to utter such words. And this, from the people who most recently were lecturing the Right about toning down the rhetoric, lest it lead to violence.

None of this matters. Liberals generally do not feel the need to season their speech. That is only something they expect Conservatives to do. Neither does the Left feel obligated to back up their monstrous accusations. Nobody will be able to prove that Limbaugh made that comment about Martin Luther King. Doesn't matter. It will be accepted as an unquestioned fact even if Limbaugh wins a lawsuit against those who spread the lie. Soon, one of your friends at a cocktail party, who has never in his life listened to Rush even one time, will call him a racist and quote that King comment.

Adolf Hitler used to say, "If you're going to tell a lie, tell a big one."  You see, the greater the lie and the more audacious the statement, the harder it will be for people to think anyone would have had the nerve to simply invent it.

Remember When Milk Day In School Referred To Something We Drank From a Cow?

Before Proposition 8 passed, Gay Activists insisted that concern over legalized gay marriage leading to homosexual indoctrination in our public schools was "fear mongering from the Extreme Right." They lied. Indeed, such indoctrination had already been taking place for years with books like, Heather Has Two Mommies and even a school field trip to a lesbian wedding. Now we have Harvey Milk Day, a holiday that celebrates the life of a "civil rights activist." Of course, I'm sure a government sponsored holiday will be honored with lessons about Harvey Milk so that all the little kiddies can both understand and appreciate what this hero stood for. The meaning of a holiday always is discussed in school these days unless it's Christmas. Oh sure, we can take Christmas Day off, but the meaning of Christmas must remain a secret on school grounds.

Probably some of Harvey Milk's life will remain a secret as well, at least for now. But it wasn't a secret in his 1982 biography by Randy Shilts which speaks of Milk as an adult having sexual relationships with teenage boys.

I said it before and I'll say it again: The day is coming when pediphiles will have their rights too and those who oppose them will be called "pediphlophobes."

Do you ever long for those innocent days when "Milk Day" meant that children brought milk money to school and drank milk during a break?
