Even Jordache Might Have Trouble Appraising Such Genes

Have you heard the latest? White people (and only white people) are born with a gene that compels them to be racists. You're not entirely surprised to hear this, right?  In today's political climate, it was only a matter or time.

It is not unlike the claim that homosexuals are born that way because of genetics. Hmm... Interesting...So, since homosexuals cannot be held responsible for the way they were born, are the Politically Correct now going to claim that white people can never be held responsible for their own racism?

Now, This is a Prize That Fits the Man!

He was the worst president we ever had, a bungling, inept, incompetent statesmen, whose naive, stupid policies gave a green light to Middle East terrorism as we know it.

He was an even worse ex-president, filled with Anti-Semitic vile that masqueraded as peace rhetoric, in a vain attempt to re-claim his place in history. And for these latter efforts, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Price.

But it had to happen sooner or later. Finally, former President Jimmy Carter receives an appropriate accolade: Osama Bin Laden recommends Carter's latest book on the Israelis and Palestinians as important and truthful reading.

What They Said They Would Do And What They Planned To Do

WHAT THE DEMOCRATS SAID WOULD HAPPEN IF OBAMA WAS ELECTED: "The election of the first African-American President will put race behind us once and for all and move us into a Post-Racial America."

WHAT THE DEMOCRATS REALLY PLANNED TO DO: "We will elect a man invulnerable to criticism. If anyone challenges the president about anything, we will simply call them racist."

Words And Phrases That Should Be Peranently Retired

Words can be very powerful and the twisted definition of a word can be dangerous. Here is a list of words and phrases that I would like to see permanently retired from our discussions.

1) "I find this offensive."

Today's generation gets offended far too easily. Some would be offended if a leaf fell from a tree. Frankly, I do not care if words offend. I care more about whether words are true. Our forefathers knew that free speech would often offend. Why else would they need to be protected by our constitution? Certainly, there is no reason to purposely offend people as an end in itself. We should never go out of our way to be rude, neither should we act self-righteous or inappropriately judgmental as Christians. But when somebody is offended simply by a manger scene, or a cross around the neck, or an opposing political viewpoint, then we must face the fact that we live in very thin skinned times and stop worrying so much about what offends.

2) Tolerance

"You sound intolerant!" people cry, in an effort to quickly shut up their opponent and end all discussion. But the truth is, nobody, and I mean nobody tolerates everything. Do you tolerate slavery? Do you tolerate racism? Do you tolerate rape? Do you tolerate murder?  OK, then each topic should be discussed on its own moral merits. When homosexuality comes up (the true subject hiding behind the word "tolerance")  the question should not be whether or not we tolerate the practice but why we do or not not tolerate the practice.

If You Don't Believe They Were Angels, That Is Your Choice, But I Am The One Whose Life They Saved!

I was driving from Tempe, Arizona to San Jose, California, about a sixteen hour drive, as I recall, and I drove through the night because my little Volkswagen bug had no air conditioning and in early summer, you do not want to drive though Arizona without A.C. in the day time. Of course, I could have stopped and stayed at a motel or at least pulled into a rest stop instead of flirting with death and taking the entire sixteen hours in one big chunk, but I was in my twenties, and  I was healthy, and  I was daring, and  I was a marathon man, and I was a complete idiot who did not deserve the extra special grace God was about to bestow upon me.

Around dawn, while driving along the coast of Santa Barbara, I fell asleep at the wheel and later woke up, still driving, still free of any road accident or danger. I am not sure how long I was asleep but I distinctly remember waking up. Still somewhat punch drunk, I continued driving until I reached San Jose. The next day, after getting my much needed rest, I remembered something that had slipped my mind in the middle of all the madness and fatigue.

All of us have had the experience of lying in bed, starting to doze off and then waking back up. For a moment or two, we hear voices and suddenly realize they were the voices from a dream because for a moment, we had started to drift off. Such voices came into my head on the road but the magnitude of the experience was lost on me at the time because I was sleepy and not thinking right. Later on however, I remembered the voices distinctly.

"Do you think we can keep him awake?"

"Don't worry, we'll keep him awake."

In the first chapter of Hebrews, the Bible promises Christians that they indeed have guardian angels looking out for them. I am convinced  I met my own guardian angels for the very first time that day. But when I say it was the first time I met them, I do not mean to imply that this was the first time they got me out of trouble. That, I'm sure, is an experience they have been familiar with for many, many years.

Liars? OK, Since You Brought the Subject Up...

In Wednesday's speech before congress and before the nation, President Obama (very predictably) said that the opponents of his health care proposal have been using scare tactics and spreading lies. First of all, that is simply not true. The three "lies" in question were death panels, public funding of abortion, and health care for illegal aliens. Let's address them one at a time:

1) Death Panels:  No, the term "death panel" is not found in the bill, but extra funding for doctors to have life decision conversations with the elderly is in there. Why? Also, remember the stimulus bill, that other big, fat pile of paper that none of the congressmen read? It called for government oversight of medical treatment decisions based upon age, eating habits of the patient, etc.  This razed a lot of questions and it is unclear whether or not the humble little clause was ever removed, but it certainly said something about the sentiment of "death panels" in Washington. And then, there's the fact that every single country currently on government health care does rationing due to the cost, and has an abundance of horror stories; people who were insured but denied treatment anyway. Are you catching on? We do not need to see the phrase "death panel" to know that this is exactly what would rear its ugly heard if we turn to one-hundred percent government sponsored health care. Of course, Obama insists that the nanny state will not become the only option. Yeah, Obama says a lot of things. For reasons I have already shared in other blogs, I am convinced Obama knows that this "mere public option" would soon become the only option. I'll remind you of one of these reasons: If employers are forced to provide health care or pay a fine cheaper than health care, the private insurance will be immediately dropped and the cheaper government option will remain the only choice for the disgruntled workers, unless by some amazing miracle, a private company cheaper than the government's rides into town.

2) Abortion: Republicans tried to add a provision to the bill that would forbid public health insurance covering abortion. Democrats voted it down. Now, if Obama is determined to buck his Democratic congress and allow that provision, fine. In the meantime, he should stop calling people liars. He only makes himself out to be a liar by doing so.

3) Illegals: As with abortion, Republicans tried to add a provision to the bill that would forbid public health insurance for illegal aliens. Democrats (big surprise) voted it down. This should end the discussion, but I'll offer more anyway. Obama insists that health care will not cover illegal aliens but this is difficult to believe. For one thing, illegals already get free care at our emergency rooms. Also, the 47 million uncovered Americans that Obama talked about so often, included illegals. Only recently, that figure was changed to 30 million. (After he was called to the carpet.) However, if Obama plans to grant amnesty (and he has given every indication of doing so) then this whole topic becomes a mute point anyway.

While we are on the subject of lies, how come Obama, in his heart felt zeal to bring both Republicans and Democrats together, didn't rebuke any lies from the Left, such as Rep. Diane Watson's whopper? She says the only reason people object to Obama's policies is because they do not want to support a black president.

Hungry for some pea soup about now?  Well something thicker than pea soup is in the room:

H Y P O C R I S Y!

Just A Simple Question

For today's blog: Just a simple question, even though some will call me a lover of the rich and hater of the poor for daring to even ask the question.

If, as Obama promises, the government is not trying to completely take over health care the way those nasty Conservatives suggest in their fear mongering, and if, instead, the government will only offer a public option as a means to an end, that end being that everybody can have affordable health care of some sort, and if private insurance companies are no longer going to be allowed to refuse people or drop people due to preconditions or any condition, and if by law they must also be affordable, and if by law all employers are going to be required to provide health care or pay a fee, and if the government option, just like any other option, is going to cost money, either through a premium or a tax, then why is the government option even needed?

Inquiring minds want to know. Obama is hoping there will be no inquiring minds.

Now That More People Are Listening...

I made this commentary back in 2008 before the election, but it fell upon deaf ears. Since many who voted for Obama are now waking up, expressing regrets, paying attention to what the man actually stands for, and raising their eyebrows at his associates and czars, I am going to share this again. Who knows? Some who wouldn't listen before might be motivated to listen now.

Almost a year ago, Bill O'Reilly had his one interview with then candidate, Barack Obama.  He asked the senator if he had ever heard Rev. Wright preach a hatred of white people in the twenty years he attended Trinity United Church.

Obama responded as follows: "No...I did hear him preach a hatred of racists, however."

It was such an ingenious response that O'Reilly, (usually quite savvy) didn't catch it. I believe this answer was a down right lie disguised in a coating of truth. Yes, it is true (obviously) that Rev. Wright has a history of preaching against racists. What Obama failed to confess is the way racism is defined by today's militant civil rights activists. They hold two ridiculous, but seldom challenged, tenets.

1) Only white people are racist. People of color are not, because they do not have the power.

2) ALL white people are racists.

And so, my friends, if Rev. Wright preached a hatred of racists and if only white people can be racist and if indeed all white people are racists, Rev. Wright absolutely preached a hatred of white people.  If Obama didn't pick that up, he knows nothing about the activists and community organizers he hangs around with and it is hard to believe they would be gathering around him if he did not share these beliefs or at least some form of the beliefs. At the very least, close associates would go out of their way to make very sure Obama knew exactly where they were coming from. Anything is possible, but one has to virtually turn logic on its head and suspend all true thinking to believe that a Harvard graduate, smart enough to become president, could be that naive or that out of step with the thoughts and ideologies of his friends.  Instead, I am convinced Obama was being slick and deceptive. This was my suspicion a year ago, and time seems to be bearing it out, (to make the understatement of the century.)

What? He Graduated Yale and Wrote a Book? Oops! How Could We Have Been So Wrong About Him?

Well, as was expected, Green Czar,Van Jones has resigned, but not before accusing Right-Wingers of a smear campaign. What smear campaign? All we did was listen to his speeches and show others where they could listen to his speeches. Some of his horrible words, he even apologized for, so which is it? Did he say things he honestly regrets or is he a victim of some planned conspiracy?

Howard Dean continues to defend this man who signed a statement about a Bush 9/11 conspiracy, who openly admitted to being a Communist, and who accused white people of poisoning the drinking water of black people. How does Dean continue to offer support? By going through the issues point by point and addressing them? Not at all. Instead, Dean reminds us that Van Jones is a Yale graduate who has written a book.  Given the age we live in and the Leftist/ Politically Correct atmosphere of our colleges, the fact that somebody is a college graduate who writes, provides zero evidence of a moral compass.

It reminds me of the way people defended Ahamadinnejad after the tyrant spoke at Columbia. "The man is well educated and he has a family. He also smiles a lot."

See how it works? Say any poisonous, racist, inflammatory thing you want. Just make sure you smile while you blast it all out and be at a university while you are speaking. For myself, I'd be quite content with a man who never smiles, has no family, has written no book and graduated no college. None of that would matter if the guy at least had brains and a heart. Indeed, maybe that isn't even needed. Remember when Dorthy asked the Scarecrow how he could talk if he didn't have a brain? He replied, "I don't know. But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking."

If Jesus Is Really the Only Way of Salvation, How Will God Judge The People Who Never Heard of Him?

This week, on The Bob Siegel Show, we tackle a very important and frequently asked question.

"If God is really such a loving God, and if Jesus is truly the only way of salvation, how will God judge the countless individuals who never read a Bible or never met a missionary?"

I discuss this provocative question during the second half of my show, preceded by phone calls, E Mail comments, monologues and satire commenting on the latest news events, such as:

-Obama's czars
-Obama's speech in the public schools
-Fidel Castro's praise of Obama
-A Democratic congresswoman's praise of Fidel Castro

A Czar By Any Other Name Might as Well Be Boris or Natasha

Time for Obama to do another song and dance. Either he's going to have to convince us that he knew absolutely nothing about the background of his latest "Green Czar," Van Jones, or he's going to have to explain how he could have selected a man with such a lethal peddegree. Who knows? The denial might just fly. After all, it worked with Rev. Wright. Supposedly, in the twenty years Obama attended his church, he never heard one racist or anti-American statement. Obama said that with a straight face and people still voted for him. Obama also assured us that he barely knew self confessed, unashamed, terrorist, Bill Ayers. People let that slide too, even though the kick off event to Obama's political career was launched in Ayer's living room.  See how it comes together? Obama probably figures that anyone stupid enough to vote for him is just as brain-challenged in the present time.

And so, yes, it could actually work again. "We didn't know. We didn't know the man was a proud, professing Communist who promises to use the environment as a tool to redistribute wealth, who says it's impossible to discuss climate change without discussing racism, who accuses white people of deliberately poisoning blacks, and who signed a petition to investigate President Bush for causing 9/11.  We didn't know."

They didn't know. The president had resources like the FBI at his disposal to do a background check and he couldn't even come up with something that a simple Google search would provide. Or maybe he never heard of YouTube, where and abundance of speeches from this fine gentlemen have recently surfaced.  Yeah, sure. He didn't know. I believe him, but I believe in the Tooth Fairy too, so don't go by me.

Or Obama could pull that other rabbit out of his hat. "Van Jones has changed. It was in the distant past that he called himself a Communist. He's reformed." Actually, this response has been floated already but without much success so they will either try it again or bag the tactic completely. For the record, Jone's Communist speech was a while ago, all the way back in March of 2009!  Do you remember what you had for breakfast every day last March?  No?  Well, OK then, let's stop quibbling about ancient history.

Another possible course of action: "Oh, yeah, sure, Jones said all those things, but you are taking him out of context. When he said we might have been responsible for 9/11, he didn't mean to suggest that we might have been responsible. He only meant to say that we might have been responsible. See?  You have to understand the context."

Of course, there is one other interpretation to all of this, so obvious, so simplistic and so outrageous, most people never think of it: Maybe a man smart enough to graduate Harvard and smart enough to pull off a successful presidential campaign, is also smart enough to properly vet a new adviser. Maybe Obama knows everything about this man and wants him on his team for exactly those reasons. Truth be told, many of his other czars are every bit as scary if not scarier. Maybe he was sure he'd get away with this since he has gotten away with everything else. Maybe he figured the worse case scenario would be that only the Right-Wing would notice what he's trying to do and he could quickly shut them up by saying they only object to him because he's black.

I am grateful for all that is now out in the open and comforted that Obama is getting such bad press (finally) over this venomous appointment. I believe we will see Van Jone's resignation in only a matter of days, if not sooner.  But I'll be honest with you. I'm still gravely concerned. I'll give you my reasons:

1) For quite some time, our mainstream media refused to touch this story. It simply did not fit in with their role as Obama's Water Boy. With few exceptions, Glen Beck has been carrying the torch almost entirely on his own, even though, (as I said) the info is easily and readily available to anyone with even the most elementary internet skills. True, many Conservative Talk Show hosts have no love lost on Obama, but we are mostly hearing about health care type issues from them, and valid as those concerns are, they are not even in the same stratosphere as the stuff Glen Beck has been willing to touch despite threats to his family. True, some bloggers and local radio show hosts like me have passed on Beck's info along with information uncovered from our own research, but we are small potatoes, unlikely to come under as much fire, and Beck deserves credit for virtually fighting a one man battle. My admiration for the man is matched only by my utter disdain for today's mainstream news: They are run by a bunch of cowardly curds!  And that is just about the nicest thing I can say.

2) Even though the mainstream media is now (only after kicking and screaming) on board, I fear that all those other deadly czars will be lost in the sea of discussion over Jones. For this reason, I dedicate a small series of blogs, to act as a simple concise list of other recent Obama czar appointees and their beliefs.

I guarantee, you will find it all quite chilling

This blog is the fourth in a series. You may want to first read the previous installments:

A Czar By Any Other Name Might as Well Be Boris or Natasha: Part Two

A Czar By Any Other Name Might as Well Be Boris or Natasha: Part Three

Had enough?  I sure have, but I'll mention one more.

6) Cyberspace Czar: Position not yet filled. Mellisa Hathaway held the job but resigned in August. However, Democratic Senator Jay Rockefeller is introducing a bill that would give President Obama complete control over the internet in case of an emergency. So watch for a new czar or Obama himself as the Grand Czar of them all. For more detail on this frightening development, see my recent blog:

A Dictator's Short Cut

CONCLUSION:  The word "czar" originally referred to emperors in Europe. Most of us have come to associate the term with Russian royalty. How ironic: The Communist Revolution overthrew the tyranny of of Russian czars only to replace it with a a dictatorship that was as bad if not worse. This dictatorship denied its true Fascism, claiming to be about the rights of the people, but I urge you to talk with anyone who once lived in the Soviet Union and who now lives in America.  They might have something to say about the appointment of Czars who either brag about being Communist  (the word that supposedly is in antithesis to czar), or articulate indistinguishable policies even if they don't use the word. You see, the very fact that opposite terms can mask the same skunk underneath only goes to show that we should be paying less attention to titles and more attention to what these people are actually saying. They have not exactly been shy about their positions. We should not be shy about protecting an old fashioned ideology of our own, a real endangered species: Democracy.

A Czar By Any Other Name Might as Well Be Boris or Natasha: Part Three

This blog is Part Three in a series. Before reading, you may want to go through the first two portions:

A Czar By Any Other Name Might as Well Be Boris or Natasha: Part One

A Czar By Any Other Name Might as Well Be Boris or Natasha: Part Two

4) Regulatory Czar: Cass Sunstein:  The man says that when people have too many choices, it troubles him. Oh really?  Well, his having that view troubles me. By the way, just so you won't think he's a fanatic, Sunstein does accept some choice. He is Pro-Choice where abortion is concerned. And that may just be the only choice he believes in (until that other czar, John Holdren, eliminates this choice as well and pushes forced abortions).

But I won't quibble over something petty like choice because it's the least of Sunstein's delightful characteristics. Good Ol' Cass believes animals should have a right to sue humans. (Yes, you heard me correctly.) Since animals are incapable of speaking or filing briefs, some brilliant human will represent them, naturally. Can you just imagine? After calling the rat exterminator, a rat takes you to court, or more correctly put, some idiot representing a rat takes you to court. I guess a human advocate for an animal makes more sense to him than a human advocate for a human (fetus).

Needless to say, Sunstein also believes hunting should be downright outlawed, but that probably doesn't come as a surprise if he thinks Bambi belongs in a court room rather than the forest. In any event, just listen to the man in his own wonderful words:

5) International Czar: Harold Koh:  I must admit, this time the term czar is informal. Obama has not yet officially named the young fellow as a czar, but he is a legal adviser to the State Department, which means he will influence Obama as much as anyone. Koh does not view our constitution as an adequate legal document for the governing of America. He wants to see us bow to International Law. Yes, the United Nations certainly is a beacon of law and liberty. Only recently, the U.N. caved into pressure from Palestinians and will no longer teach on the Holocaust in Gaza schools. After all, Palestinians do not believe the Holocaust ever happened and we wouldn't want to confuse them with the truth. No surprises from the same confederation that once had Syria as head of its Security Council. Yes sir! This is the day we long for, when the United States is made subservient to the United Nations!

But Koh not only embraces International Law. Oh no! Such an ordinary, popular and fashionable principle wouldn't be enough to distinguish him. Koh also believes that in some cases, Americans ought to allow for Sharia Law! Do you understand what Sharia Law is?  It is based upon the belief that Muslim rule should be the law of the land. Woman have no rights under Sharia Law. Women have been stoned for being seen in public with certain men under Sharia Law. Those who leave Islam and turn to Christianity have been executed under Sharia Law. Homosexuals have been murdered legally under Sharia Law.

A Czar By Any Other Name Might as Well Be Boris or Natasha: Part Two

Note: This is Part Two in a series. For Part One, see:

A Czar By Any Other Name Might as Well Be Boris or Natasha: Part One

Obama has some 32 appointed czars. I do not have the time or desire to go through all of them. Instead, I will list the most dangerous, the ones that anybody, Liberal or Conservative, should be concerned about. My purpose is to offer a concise glossary, but details and documentation are offered next to each name.

1) Green Czar: Van Jones:  Thankfully, people are now talking about this one and I discussed him in Part One of this article. See link above.

2) Diversity Czar (or Diversity Officer over FCC):  Mark Lloyd. This is the man who will bring back the Fairness Doctrine without calling it the Fairness Doctrine. He speaks negatively about free speech and positively about Hugo Chavez's ability to close down all opposing media.

For more info, see two of my previous documented blogs:

Obama Says He's Against the Fairness Doctrine: (But Don't Relax Just Yet.)

Things Are Even Worse Than I Thought, And Believe Me, I Thought They Were Pretty Bad

3) Science Czar: John Holdren: He believes the day might come when we should force women to have abortions whether they want them or not. I guess all that talk about "her body/her choice" was only useful while our country became desensitized to abortion. Having achieved its purpose, the word choice can now be discarded.

Holdren also believes in forced sterilization through food or drinking water for the purpose of population control.

SOURCE: His own book, Ecoscience.  Here is an excerpt:

"Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing constitution if the population crises became sufficiently severe to endanger the society." Pg. 837
