Will The Real Nazis Please Stand Up?

Stupid comparisons to Nazis are found on both sides of the aisle. But can appropriate analogies at least be made with the Nazi’s early history?

How Can God Be Three Yet One At The Same Time?

Evangelical Christians believe in the Trinity, but is this merely what they have been taught or can a good Biblical case be made for the deity of Christ and the Triune God? That was the subject on this week's Bob Siegel Show. The program aired 2-13-11 and can now be downloaded from www.bobsiegel.net.

From the Hell of the Middle East To The Hell Of An Afterlife

Contrary to conventional wisdom, a loving God actually would send people to hell. That was one of several serious subjects on this week's Bob Siegel Show. A great deal of time was also spent discussing the current situation in the Middle East and potential change in Egypt. The program aired 2-6-11 and can now be downloaded from www.bobsiegel.net.

Unsolved Mysteries: The Disappearing Socks

From Bob's Musings On Life:

I suspect this is a problem with males more than females but I must confess: I have absolutely no idea how my socks disappear. I do a load of laundry. After taking my clothes out of the dryer, I find that I only washed one pair of socks when I had been quite certain that two or three pairs were put in. Or I put in one pair, but only one of the two socks comes out, his twin brother being no where in sight.

There is a workable theory: It has to do with Quantum Physics, the origin of the universe, and the altering of our space/time continuum, more specifically, how those puzzles intersect with the Bermuda Triangle, hijacking its properties long enough to replicate a miniaturized yet similar phenomenon that connects to all washers and dryers.

No? OK fine!  I challenge you to offer a better explanation! In the meantime, off I go to Walmart for more socks.

A Man Of Certain Policy

President Obama's Foreign Policy:  "I urge both sides to show restraint." (Just fill in the name of the particular country or countries. His policy remains the same.

President Obama's Domestic Policy: "Jobs, jobs jobs...So long as they are green, government operated, and at the expense of the private sector. And remember, when the private sector dies, it is only because I was unsuccessful turning around the policies of that scoundrel,  George W. Bush!"

Change We Can't Believe In

People keep claiming Obama has moved to the center, but evidence of his move comes up rather short. Read all about it in my latest column for The Washington Times.

The State of Predictions

Here is my prediction regarding Obama's State of the Union address tonight:

First of all; (Now hold on to your seats) We will hear that the State of the Union is good! Whew!  What a relief! While watching the Republicans bite their lips in an attempt to hold in the laughter at such an assessment and avoid a glaring New York Times editorial about "mean spiritedness," we will then watch Obama finish his speech.

The speech itself will sound something like this:

"Blah, blah, blah..Bi-Partisanship...Blah, blah, blah...the American people...Blah, blah, blah...Tone down the rhetoric...Blah, blah, blah...A more civil discourse...Blah, blah, blah...Reach across the aisle...Blah, blah, blah...the American people...Blah, blah, blah...Bi-Partisanship...Blah, blah, blah...If Republicans can come up with any ideas of their own, I'd be happy to listen...Blah, blah, blah...Bi-Partisanship...Blah, blah, blah...the American people...Blah, blah, blah...the poor and needy...Blah, blah, blah..Bi-Partisanship...Blah, blah, blah...the American people...Blah, blah, blah...Nice green jobs..Blah, blah, blah...Bi-Partisanship...Blah, blah, blah...the American people...Blah, blah, blah..Bi-Partisanship...Blah, blah, blah...the American people...Blah, blah, blah...Tone down the rhetoric...Blah, blah, blah...A more civil discourse...

Hmm...I wonder if TV Land will be repeating The Andy Griffith Show during this time. But even a documentary on how to assemble a flashlight would be preferable.

Questions About Genesis

-Was the world created in six literal days?
-How can we take seriously a story about a talking snake?
-If Cain was only the third human being, why was he worried about running into other people after being banished?

These interesting discussions are addressed on this week's Bob Siegel Show. The program aired on 1-23-11 and can now be downloaded from www.bobsiegel.net.
