Only White People Can Be Racist?

“Only white people can be called racist because only white people have the power to enforce their racism.”  This was the indoctrination going on at the University of Delaware through their Resident Assistants, a teaching that makes about as much sense as Braille writing at bank drive through tellers.   As a result of several students complaining and as a result of these complaints reaching the media, creating bad publicity and pressure, the president of the university finally abolished this student “diversity” program.

There really isn’t anything new here.  We’ve been listening to this dribble for years. “Only white people can be racists because only white people have the power.”

You see, they just make this stuff up as they go.  Why do we put up with it?  Why do we roll over and play dead for these self righteous, self appointed kings of etiquette?  Are we that stupid?  Do our guilt buttons get pushed that easily?

“Only white people are racist.  A person of color might hate you.  He might even hate you just for being white.  But you can’t call that racism.”

“Really?  Sounds kind of like racism to me.”

“Yeah, well it’s not!”

“Why not?”

“Because you don’t get to decide what racism is.  We do.  Because you have all the power.  We don’t.”

“Oh. OK.  If you say so.  Golly…Gee.  I’m ashamed to be white.”

On what authority are they coming up with this tripe?  Did they hear it from God?  Are there golden laws floating around the universe like alphabet soup?  Did they read it in some dictionary with previously agreed to standards of definition?  No. They’re making it up.  They’re improvising as they go.  And they’ll continue to do so just as long as the rest of us are too stupid or too cowardly to say anything.

Well, at least some of these colleges are starting to feel the pressure from people who have had enough.  When parents wise up and threaten to stop paying tuition, when they realize that their money is going toward making their children stupider, not smarter, when they realize that some of today’s PhDs got their degrees by sending in three cereal box tops, when alumni also pull their funds, well then, maybe times will finally start to change.

The new media is acting as our spotlight.  That’s why so many liberals want to get rid of new media such as Talk Radio.  That’s why laws like The Fairness Doctrine are rearing their ugly heads.  Oh well.  Talk radio may disappear but at least we’ll have Braille drive-ins.

Evidently Christians Don't Hold A Monopoly On Stupidity

What’s the most recent news in the “Get God out of our government” campaign?  New laws that forbid the mention of religion during flag folding ceremonies at military funerals.

Is this what it’s come to?  Is this the latest lump of lunacy in the name of separation between church and state?

Yeah, that’s what our forefathers had in mind all right.  They didn’t want God mentioned at funerals.  That’s why in the days of our forefathers, all colleges were Bible colleges and prayer was led by teachers in public schools and congress opened with prayer and witnesses swore on the Bible in court.

In yesterday’s blog I protested a different practice at funerals;  the disgraceful conduct of
Westboro Baptist Church glorying in the fact that solders are supposedly dying due to gays in the military.  In today’s blog, looking at other military funerals, I just wanted to remind everyone that Christians do not have a monopoly on stupidity.

Behavior Not Even A Christian Apologist Can Defend

Normally I hate lawsuits but occasionally there is a just one.

From The
Baltimore Sun (Nov 2, 20007)

“A Baltimore federal jury awarded nearly $11 million Wednesday to the father of a Marine killed in Iraq, deciding that the family’s privacy had been invaded by a Kansas Church whose members waved anti-gay signs at the funeral.

It was the first-ever verdict against
Westboro Baptist Church, a fundamentalist Christian group based in Topeka that has protested military funerals across the country with placards bearing shock-value messages such as “Thank God for dead soldiers.”

They contend that the deaths are punishment for
Americas’ tolerance of homosexuality and of gays in the military.”

You know what I like about churches like Westboro Baptist?  Nothing!  Oh I have nothing against Baptists themselves.  I was ordained as a Baptist minister.  I was also licensed as a Baptist minister. I’m a fan of John the Baptist.  He was a brave man.  He was a wise man.  The man had his head set squarely on his shoulders (at least until King Herod got a hold of him).  But I believe he would be turning in his grave to hear the word “Baptist” used like this. I believe organizations like Westboro Baptist set our cause back about one thousand years.

I know the phrase, “fair and balanced” sounds like a cliché today.  But I really to try to write a fair blog and I really do try to produce a fair radio show.

Yes, I’m a Christian apologist but I do not defend every stupid thing Christians do.  Sometimes even when Christians mean well, even when they think they are doing poor God a great, big favor, they come across as the most idiotic, destructive jerks on the planet.

Look, I don’t condone homosexuality and I particularly have problems with the militant gay agenda. But these gay soldiers are serving in the military and serving honorably.  That’s more than can be said about most of us.

In any event, Westboro Baptist is rejoicing at the death of all soldiers, even heterosexuals.  They believe that ANY soldier’s death is God’s judgment for gays being allowed in the military.

And for the grieving families to have to listen to those sanctimonious morons, who have all the spiritual anointing of a fingernail scratching a blackboard, at their child’s funeral?  At a funeral?  It makes me sick.  It makes me sick to my stomach.

I call upon Christians everywhere to join with me and speak out against this outrage.  Today, a Christian apologist like me finds his job just a little more difficult.

How To Cause A Muslim Freudian Slip

I believe there are peaceful Muslims in the world.  I really do.  I’m not just saying that as obligatory, Politically Correct dribble.  I have met and conversed at length with many peaceful Muslims.

But I’m also convinced that many of the so called moderate Muslims, especially the media spokespeople, are not nearly as benign as they let on.

You won’t find a Muslim on radio or TV who embraces terrorism. They all renounce terrorism categorically. But I have found that one very simple question reveals how these people truly feel. I’m talking about the Israeli-Palestinian situation.

Only recently, Muslim apologist, Nadir Ahmed was a guest on my radio show. He renounced terrorism right at the beginning of the interview. When I asked him how he felt about Jimmy Carter encouraging
Israel to make deals with Hamas, the terrorist organization elected into office by the Palestinians, I then heard a much different kind of answer. Mr. Ahmed explained that we do not have good options today in the Middle East.  He also went on to say that the Israelis were every bit as much terrorists as Hamas.

This kind of moral equivalency argument serves as a Freudian slip of sorts.  If one sees no difference between assassinating terrorists or bombing terrorist strong holds and some thug strapping on a bomb blowing up a bus that includes innocent women and children, if one can excuse the Palestinians for putting a terrorist government into play, indeed, if one can forget that the PLO and their gangster founder Yasser Arafat basically invented terrorism as we know it today, then this person in my opinion is not really renouncing terrorism.

This is Bob Siegel, making the obvious obvious.

Note: Many people are tragically misinformed about the historical revision of the Israeli-Palestinian situation.  I want to invite you to download a special broadcast from my radio show.  Just go to my website www.bobsiegel.net .  On the front page you will see a picture and caption: The Truth About Israel and Palestine.  From here you can link into this important broadcast.

When Did Blind People Start Driving?

Have you noticed how drive through automatic teller machines have writing in Braille?   Hmm…Braille.  Now, I’m all for Braille but I have to wonder what it’s doing at a drive through teller machine. Do they expect blind people to be driving cars?

I know it’s dangerous to ask such a simple question in an age of tolerance, sensitivity and Political Correctness.  I suspect that any such obvious, logical question was dismissed by the banks immediately.  After all, they don’t want to be sued.  And they know that clear thinking minds have little to do with law suits these days.

Oh well…  I just thought I’d pose the question while posing such questions is still legal.

Who Says Hillary Doesn't Really Stand For Anything?

People are getting concerned about Hillary.  They’ve finally figured out that she doesn’t really stand for anything.  They’ve finally noticed her flip flopping on issues like Iraq. (Remember?  She supported the war but in such a way that she opposed it.)

And now in last week’s debate, with the question about drivers’ licenses to illegal immigrants, we were once again bewitched by Hillary’s duplicitous charm.  At the debate she was sympathetic to the idea but she never actually supported it. And she wanted to make this position abundantly clear.

You see, with Hillary the People Pleaser, it’s always something for everybody.  But is this what we want in our president?  Don’t we need somebody who firmly stands by her convictions even if she doesn’t have time to read polls and listen to focus groups?

Well, folks, be of good cheer.  You need not worry about Hillary’s flip flopping any more.  Your ol’ pal, Bob is gonna navigate you through this.  You see, Hillary does indeed have one very clear conviction.  And if you listen carefully to every one of her speeches, and if you listen carefully to every one of her answers to every one of her questions, you can hear how she truly feels.

Now, it does take some careful listening, mind you, almost like deciphering that back masking in The Sixties.  Remember?  Those old L.P.’s that preceded CDs?  After playing The Beatles’
Abbey Road album backwards, you heard somebody confess to having buried Paul.

So let’s try some back masking with one of Hillary’s speeches or “candid” answers.  Any one will do.  Just pick one.  Did you pick one?  OK.  Listen now…Listen carefully.  It almost sounds like whispering.  “I wanna be president.  I wanna be president.  Who knows what I’ll really do if I’m ever elected?  I might wage a war.  I might sue for peace.  But I do intend to be president, and that, you can take to the bank.”

There you go.  Are we clear?  So now you know where she stands.  Stop saying she doesn’t stand for anything.  Stop saying she doesn’t truly believe in anything.  She believes in herself.  And after all, isn’t that what it’s really all about?

This is Bob Siegel, making the obvious, obvious.

If You Don't Like Her, Take It Up With Jesus

Ann Coulter is in trouble again although I suspect this is one lady who doesn’t lose any sleep when people think she’s in trouble. Ann appeared on Donny Deutsch's CNBC show ,"The Big Idea."  Why she decided to be on this two bit, low rated, liberal agenda show, I’m sure I don’t know but she did and the subject of Jews converting to Christianity came up. Now this is a subject I can comment about first hand because I am both a Jew and a Christian. I was born a Jew.  I converted to Christianity. But before I share my comment, let’s take a look at Miss Coulter’s comment.  Miss Coulter made the point that she would like to see Jews converted to Christianity.

For this remark, Joy Behar,  the next morning on ABC’s "The View", said, “Ann Coulter thinks Shindler’s List was a comedy.” Isn’t that wonderful? She was calling Ann Coulter a NAZI.

Did you think we were going to stop hearing stupid things on "The View" just because Rosie O’Donnell isn’t there any more?  Well think again.  After all "The View"  still has a full panel of tactless, tiny brained, tabloid, talking twits.

First of all, Miss Coulter is merely repeating what Christians believe. Christians believe they were instructed by Jesus to share the gospel with all non-Christians including Jews. This doesn’t mean they want to impose on your religious freedom.  This doesn’t mean they don’t respect your right to disagree. This doesn’t mean they will force you to convert. It just means they would be hypocrites if they said they followed Jesus and disobeyed what Jesus went out of His way to specifically command them to do. This is the teaching of the New Testament. I know. I know. You occasionally hear some minister or priest say it isn’t the teaching of the New Testament. They aren’t speaking the truth. They may call themselves clergymen but they don’t know the Bible from Marvel Comic books.

There’s a movement within Christianity inspired by anti-intellectual disasters like "The Jesus Seminar" where liberal clergymen, men such as Marcus Borg shamelessly admit that they don’t like the teaching that Jesus is the only way. Well, that’s fine. If you don’t like His teachings, don’t follow His teachings. Nobody’s making you. The choice is yours. But at least be honest. Don’t try to pretend that He didn’t say what He said, just because you don’t like it.

And that’s what "The Jesus Seminar" did for us. They decided that the controversial statements from Jesus were not actually spoken by Jesus. They had nothing to base this on, mind you. They had nothing to base it on other than the fact that they didn’t like his comments.

Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me.”

That’s what He said, folks. And no mental gymnastics in the world can force those words to mean anything other than what they say.

And I have a flash for you. Jesus isn’t the only one who said that.  Almost every major religion claims it’s the only way to God, including Judaism.  What was the first commandment given to the Jews through Moses the founder of Judaism, who claimed to have heard words directly from God on Mt. Sinai?  “You will have no other gods before me.”  One God. One religion.

Moses didn’t say “Ours is one of many beautiful paths. Buddha and Mohammad will show you other ways. Oh and Dagon, the god of the Philistines.  You should respect him too.”

That’s not what Moses taught. Moses taught that the worship of any God other than the God of Israel was Idol worship.

As for Islam? Give me a break.  Do I even need to repeat it? The Koran makes it abundantly clear that those who do not believe in Allah and those who do not believe Mohammad is Allah’s prophet will end up in hell. What then is the difference between a Christian and a Muslim? The Muslim will kill you if you don’t repent The Christian won’t.

Does this mean all Muslims are violent?  Not at all. But it does mean that all Muslims who take the Jihad verses of their own scriptures seriously are violent.

Time to clear Christianity of its bump rap.

Hillary's Latest Lie

Which is easier to believe?  The idea of life on Mars or the lies of our entrusted politicians?  Hillary’s latest lie?  If she gets elected, she’s going to see to it that every baby born in America gets $5000.00  Now in all fairness, I do think that’s the kind Pollyanna law Hillary really would pass if she could.  But she knows she can’t.  She knows it has no chance of passing. For it to pass they would have to tax Americans so much that the extra $5000.00 would last like an ice cube outdoors in Phoenix in the summertime and not even a democratic congress with its love for taxation could possibly tax us that much. At least, not right away. Someday?  Sure.  But they'll want to boil that frog slowly so that people don't notice their country and their freedoms being hijaked right under their noses. So she’s hoping people will be stupid enough to think she’ll really deliver, and, well, many people will be just that dumb.

But that’s the least of the problems we’ll have with President Hillary Watch for the Fairness Doctrine: Laws that outlaw talk radio because President Hillary won’t want people challenging her ideas over the air waves. Watch for churches to lose their right to speak about sin due to laws like Hate Speech. Watch for the terrorists to be emboldened as Hillary shows enthusiasm for peace talks and the “global village”. And watch for the appointment of judges to make sure abortion remains the law of the land.

I hope they find life on Mars soon.  When America falls, there won’t be anywhere else to go.

Calling God Allah: What's In A Name?

The article below is from MSNBC: It is followed by my own commentary.

AMSTERDAM - A Roman Catholic Bishop in the Netherlands has proposed people of all faiths refer to God as Allah to foster understanding, stoking an already heated debate on religious tolerance in a country with one million Muslims.

Bishop Tiny Muskens, from the southern diocese of Breda, told Dutch television on Monday that God did not mind what he was named and that in Indonesia, where Muskens spent eight years, priests used the word "Allah" while celebrating Mass.

"Allah is a very beautiful word for God. Shouldn't we all say that from now on we will name God Allah? ... What does God care what we call him? It is our problem."

OK, let’s get the theology straightened out first. Then we’ll discuss the idiocy. First theology. Then idiocy.

What’s in a name? There is nothing inherently wrong with the idea of one God going by several names.  After all, people go by first names, last names, middle names and nicknames. In the Bible God did go by several names but he was always the same person. He was always the same God.  And He went out of his way to command that we worship no other god but him. Before the days of Mohammad, Allah was the name of a moon god. That’s because Arabs were once polytheistic. Yes Mohammad taught monotheism but let’s face it: Using the name of a moon god wasn’t getting the new movement off to a very good start.

Now, the Koran teaches that Allah is the same God as the God of the Bible. That is not true and I could prove that is not true even if they used the word “God” instead of the word "Allah".

The God of the Bible is a trinity. The Koran denies the trinity. The God of the Bible claims Jesus was God. The Koran denies that Jesus was God. The God of the Bible says we can be forgiven of our sins through Jesus. The Koran teaches no such gospel. And very important: The God of the Bible does not command us to go around killing people in the name of religion.  The Koran does. Allah is not God. How sad that a Catholic Bishop would not know this.

Now I can just imagine what some of you are thinking:  “Bob who are you to say that Allah is not God?”  Who do I have to be?  I’m just a simple man who is not running for public office, who does not need the help of the United Nations, who does not need to raise funds for some university, who therefore is free to speak his mind.  I’m just a simple man who has read what the Bible actually teaches.  I have read the Koran as well, cover to cover, and I’m telling you: Those books are not talking about the same God.  You’re free to believe what you want.  But if you chose to believe they are the same God you have chosen to believe something untrue.  It’s just that simple.  So much for the theology.

Back to the idiocy.  This bishop made an idiotic statement.  Does he think that by appeasing Muslims, Muslims are going to stop killing us?

How long will it take before we learn that appeasing terrorists only guarantees more terror?  When the allies gave Czechoslovakia to Hitler they were hoping to inspire better relations.  Well, they inspired him all right. They inspired him to occupy Austria and  attack Poland. After the attack on Poland, England and France declared war on Germany. But a declaration was all they did. They did not in fact wage war. This also inspired Hitler so he attacked France. The allies just couldn’t seem to get their feet in the water so Adolph helped them out a bit.

Evil tyrants see appeasement as a sign of weakness and it is a sign of weakness. They see appeasement as a green light to attack again.  And after we give in on one demand, they will always be back with more demands.

Most of the attacks in Israel were done after Israel made some kind of deal with the Palestinians. After they gave back Gaza, Hamas went into Gaza and started firing rockets into Israel.  Surprise surprise. I almost fell out of my chair when this happened.  And why did 9/11 take place?  Because Alchida was led to believe they could get away with it.

But you already knew all of this.  You knew it way back in grade school.  This phenomenon is as old as the playground bully.  Did you ever see a bully appeased?

“Hi…Ah, my mom packed an extra sandwich for you so you won’t have to take mine any more.”

“Oh? Well I’ll tell you what, spazz. Why don’t I just take both sandwiches?”

“Listen you better stop picking on me or you’ll have to see the principal. She’s already written you 16 resolutions.”

‘Say, instead of picking on me, let’s get to know each other. I’d like to make an effort to understand you better. Do you come from a dysfunctional family? Was your Christmas last year not as merry as it could have been?”

“Breathe deeply and close your eyes. I know that inside that bully facade there’s an inner child trying desperately to get out.”

Yes, that will curtail the bully at your neighborhood school.

A Book Club Manifesto

The Associated Press took a survey this week to see who reads more, the Liberal or the Conservative.  And  in this survey, it was discovered that liberals read an average of 8 books a year while conservatives only read  7 books a year.

Hmm…Very revealing.   Well I guess that would explain the problem then. Evidently the reason liberals have such stupid ideas is that they're reading too many stupid books.  I mean honestly!  Assuming this is an accurate survey, assuming these are real books people are talking about, assuming they aren’t counting websites like moveon.org as a book, .assuming they aren’t counting comic books, or the Bazooka Joe strip from bubble gum wrappers, and assuming they’re not talking about reading a map on the back of a Captain Crunch box or reading the recipe  from a Betty Crocker cake mix…So what?  What difference does it make how many books you read? What matters is the content of the books.  For all we know, the liberals could be reading Horton Hatches an Egg.  In Nazi Germany Mein Kamp was a best seller.

It doesn’t make a hill of beans of difference how many books you’ve read.  Who wrote the books?  What points did the books make?  Were these points backed up with actual facts?  Those are the only relevant questions.

This is Bob Siegel, making the obvious, obvious.

But Doctors Can Never Be Evil

The following quote is from, Telegraph.com UK

"A group of 45 Muslim doctors threatened to use car bombs and rocket grenades in terrorist attacks in the United States during discussions on an extremist internet chat site."

People are shocked.  People are flabbergasted. Doctors can’t be evil

Doctors can’t be evil?  Have you ever heard of Dr. Joseph Mengele or  the other Nazi doctors who did experiments on Jews such as removing the ovaries of women or hitting people with bolts of electricity to see their reactions?  Have you ever heard of Hitler’s eugenics program that he put into operation even before the Holocaust?  Where mentally and physically challenged people were exterminated by doctors?  Since when has vocation had anything to do with good and evil?

Oh that’s right. This is a generation that doesn’t believe in evil.  What we think is evil is really a lack of education.  What we think of as evil is really poverty induced.  Our college professors will tell you there’s no such thing as evil And anybody who says there is evil, is, well, evil or, er…You know what we mean.

So George Bush and his band of merry men are evil, but other than them, there is no evil, only good.

Of course, the word “good” becomes meaningless if there’s no such thing as evil. “Good” in relationship to “what” would be the question?  If we don’t know what it means to treat people in a bad way, how do we know what it means to treat people in a good way?

You’ve  just got to love this generation.  In the name of “intellect”, they are intellectually banckrupt. The idea is that if somebody is educated he can’t be evil, or if somebody is poor, his terrorism can be understood

Interestingly enough, Osama Bin Laden comes from a family of millionaires.  Some of our Muslim terrorists have been college students.  Oh wait..Wait…They didn’t’ belong to Alchida so that doesn’t count. It isn’t if it isn’t Alchida it isn’t terrorism

Folks, allow me to clarify a fact or two:  The word isn’t Alchida. The word isn’t rich.  The word isn’t poor. The word isn’t oil. The word isn’t Bush.  The word is Muslim. I’m sorry. Somebody has to say it. I might as well say it before it’s against the law to say it. Before my radio program is taken off the air by the Fairness Doctrine and replaced by Rosie O’Donell who will explain to you that Militant Christianity is our real danger.  Before I’m forbidden by laws about Hate Speech, hate being defined by some idiot judge who says that if you disagree with mainstream Political Correctness, you’re full of hate, who says that there’s no such thing as evil and those who claim to believe in evil are filled with hate

and hate is evil.

Calling Christians evil is OK.  Calling George Bush evil is OK  Calling Israel evil is OK. Calling a religion that wants to conquer the world, impose Sharia law, murder all homosexuals, subjugate women, execute women who were raped because the rape disgraced their families, murder all Jews, slit the throats of stewardess’ on planes, ram planes into buildings, blow up trains, blow up ships, blow up people, target women and children on buses, shoot people on the east coast with sniper bullets, run college students over in a car, shoot children at a Jewish day care center..l.(Shall I go on?  As you see, I’ve just been reading the newpapers the last few years)  Calling the religion behind all of those events evil…Well…that’s Hate Speech.  Why is it Hate Speech?  Because we dared to list the behaviors and actions of the Religion of Peace.

Honestly Islam is really, truly a religion of peace.  We can see where occasionally it doesn’t look that way.

The True Gay Agenda

I believe most homosexuals just want to be left alone.  I believe we can feel sympathy for their plight without condoning the lifestyle. As a pastor I have counseled many gay people and I do not believe that today’s activists are truly speaking for all gay people.

Still, I must say this:  How I feel about homosexuals as struggling individuals and how I feel about the militant gay movement are too completely different feelings.

It is important to compartmentalize such feelings with hot potatoes as sensitive and politically charged as sexual preference.  In one case, there is a call for sympathy, mercy and tenderness.  In the other arena, there is a feeling of legitimate anger.

For example: This little story (first reported by the Associated Press) that reared its head in June and won’t go away: A certain Linda Carlson is suing EHarmony.com claiming that the popular dating service “discriminates against gays, lesbians and bisexuals.”   Carlson when on to say “Such outright discrimination is hurtful and disappointing.”

Is this what it’s come too?  Now we can’t even have a dating service without the gay activists getting in our faces?

Back in the seventies, the original gay agenda, (at least, the stated agenda)  was “Hey, what we do in the bedroom is our own business.”

You’re right. It’s your business.  It’s none of our business That’s fine. So why make it our business?  Gay people can’t find dates without imposing on E Marhmony?  Aren’t there gay dating services?  Should they be sued for not offering heterosexual choices?

I don’t buy it any more.  I don’t believe we are really being told that it isn’t our business. On the contrary, I believe we are being commanded to make it our business.

Why the objection to “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” in the military if it’s none of our business? Why the seminars in our public schools even to primary grades if it’s none of our business?

Let’s be honest: The real militant gay agenda is to someday make it against the law to say that homosexuality is wrong. Oh they’re smart enough to chip away at it one inch at a time because they know what a stupid country we have become and what a naïve people we have become, but make no mistake: The instigation of Thought Police is the true agenda.  As a matter of fact, that agenda was shamelessly written by Marshal Kirk and Hunger Madsen, as a manifesto back in the late1980’s.   It was called, “After The Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Hatred of Gays in the 1990’s."

“Our effect is achieved without reference to facts, logic, or proof…through repeated infra logical emotional conditioning, the person’s beliefs can be altered whether he is conscious of the attack or not. Indeed, the more he is distracted by even specious, surface arguments, the less conscious he will be of the true nature of the process.  In short, jamming succeeds insofar as it inserts even the slightest doubt and shame into the previously held unalloyed beliefs regarding heterosexuality and homosexuality" (pg 152-153 )

Catching on?  This manifesto was an open, strategic agenda to launch a patient and consistent legal and media campaign whose goal was to silence anti-homosexual speech.

But calling someone a “homophobe” or “ hate filled” does not go far enough today.  After achieving the goals of  guilt and “greater sensitivity”, the militant gays are trying their hand at actual speech legislation.  Such legislation has already passed in Canada.  Now they’re trying to jam it through in the Unites States under the guise of Hate Crime Since violent crimes are already crimes, judging motives such as “hate” really makes Hate Crime Law, Hate Speech Law.  Saying that you love the homosexual but simply disapprove of his actions isn’t enough. You will still be branded as hateful And this in the name of tolerance. Christians and other conservatives must be tolerant of the opinion that homosexuality is natural.   Of course, homosexuals need not be tolerant of the fact that we might have another point of view.

It’s not just about dating services. It’s not just about allowing gay marriage.  If I thought for a moment that such victories would satisfy the activists, I would not be concerned. But they will never be satisfied. Groups that were once persecuted tend to treat others the way they were previously treated after they obtain power, because (as the old saying goes) “Absolute power corrupts, absolutely.”  Just watch, soon it won’t be about homosexuals and heterosexuals being equal.  We will instead learn that being homosexual is more natural, more normal and just downright healthier for society all the way around.

The Only Problem With Politics Is Politicians

I’m already tired of the 2008 campaign and it’s not even 2008 yet.  We used to have to go through this only one year out of four.  Now it’s two years out of four.  Do you realize this stupid campaign began in February?  Some of these characters were popping off at the mouth even before that.

All of the Democratic candidates are appeasing the left.  All of the Republicans are appeasing the right (with the exception of Ron Paul and I mercifully won’t say anything about him today because as William Shakespeare once put it,  “The quality of mercy is mightiest in the mightiest”).

But anyway, they all sprint to the far sides so they can win the primaries. Then, after the primaries,  and after the conventions and after two candidates are selected, (three if we count Ron Paul who will probably run on some third party ticket) the two main candidates will move toward the center and try to please everybody.  Of course, in reality, they will please nobody.

The Republican candidate will talk about poverty and health care so that he can  try to sound like something short of a liberal, known as a “moderate”.

The Democrat will do the same, attempting to look a bit more conservative and a lot more moderate with speeches like the following:

“Even if I protect a woman’s right to choose, I personally am against abortion. Let me be abundantly clear on this point.”

Wow!  What a brilliant, original, yet meaningless  phrase that will be.

“ I think abortion is evil, despicable…reprehensible !  But if you want to have one, it’s OK”

Politics. You just gotta love it.  The only guys I like listening to are the ones who know they won’t win. They speak their minds because they have nothing to lose and everything to gain:  Attention.  Ironically, if one of them really connected, really took off, and really got the nomination  then he’d immediately stop speaking his mind and head for the center like all the others.

Do you  know what I like about politics?  Nothing!!!

Will The Real Hitler Please Stand Up?

Ahmadinejad keeps shooting off his mouth about Israel. While liberals defend him and tell us we should get to know him, the man himself tells us exactly what he plans to do. Now mind you, he distorts the facts and lies about why he plans to do these things, but his intentions and future actions are spoken with painful, precision accuracy.

While commenting on  Israel  Ahma the Great said, "God willing, in the near future we will witness the destruction of the corrupt occupier regime."

How do you like this joker? He says the Holocaust never happened but he wants to wipe out every Jew in Israel.  Notice how people who deny the first Holocaust are generally enthusiastic about starting a modern one?

Well, I guess I should take a Christian attitude. And in that spirit, I do want to apologize for calling Ahmadinejad a joker.  As a Christian, I know it’s wrong to call people names, unless, of course, I’m speaking accurately and truthfully.

So… Accurately? Truthfully?  Honestly? The man is a lying, two faced, murdering thug with delusions of deity even though he claims to represent some other God who tells him to conquer the entire world.

I know. I know.  You don’t have to tell me.   That was too soft:  I forgot to call him a snake, with scorpion blood blended in.

And let me throw in this as well: The difficult doctrine of hell seems much more palatable when I imagine men like Ahmadinejad checking in to hell. For him, Hell will be like one of those Roach Motels. Remember the Roach Motel?  “Roaches check in, but they don’t check out.”

Oh wait. I forgot. Ahmadinejad smiled when Mike Wallace interviewed him. I keep forgetting:   Men who smile can’t possibly be evil. At least that’s what many talk radio callers said after the interview.

Hmm.  Let me analyze this:  “A man who smiles must be a nice man.”

Is that the way it goes?  Or maybe it goes like this:  “People who decide right from wrong by seeing if a person smiles can’t possibly be intelligent.”

Am I crazy?   I think the second one made more sense.

Calling Achmadinejad a joker is not truthful because honestly, it’s not a joke.  It’s a nightmare.   We’re back in the 1930’s and Chamberlain is challenging us to sit down and get to know Hitler, because maybe it’s our own fault that Hitler wants to conquer the world. Maybe Hitler’s mother never bought him a sled.  Maybe young Adolph  was made to feel intimidated as an art student in Vienna .  Poor Adolph.  It must have been so difficult hearing the constructive criticism of his art professors trying as nicely as they could to tell him that his paintings stunk.

Adolph, my boy, perhaps  you should have a trade to fall back on; something like  canning plumbs or maybe becoming a dictator.”

Yes, when we think of Hitler we think of a genuine comparison to Ahamadinnejad. The man is certainly a new Hitler.

Unfortunately,  the fashionable rhetoric today is to compare George Bush to Hitler.  Yeah, I get Bush and Hitler confused all the time. George Bush is a Hitler because he wants to fight a bunch of fascists?

Please  don’t tell me  the Islamo extremists aren’t Fascists.  They want to conquer the world and murder anyone who won’t convert to their religion. If they aren’t Fascists, Rosie O’Donell is planning to marry Elizabeth Hassellbeck.

“Bush is like Hitler.”

Sure he is. I guess Franklin Roosevelt was also like Hitler because he didn’t have enough imagination to embrace German expansion.

Let’s add it all up:  People who want to murder Jews are not to be compared to Hitler. People who want to stop the next holocaust?  They are the new Hitlers. That would be positively brilliant if we were living in the Bizarro world.

As for our real world, it has gone quite insane.  Oh well.  Be of good cheer!  We’ll wise up eventually.  After all, the world wised up to Hitler.  They even had a name for the wisdom: World War Two. Of course it might have been nice if they’d risen to the occasion a little earlier before all the havoc he wreaked.  Today we are faced with exactly the same choice:  We can wise up now or we can wise up later. What will the difference be?  Millions of lives at least.  Possibly billions of lives.

Supreme Court, Supreme Decision

On the same day as the horrible and tragic murders at Virginia Tech University, another event of major importance was almost missed in the news:  The Supreme Court decided to uphold the challenged ban on partial birth abortion.  This was huge.  Well, not huge enough for programs like The O'Reilly Factor or Hannity and Colmes.  They didn't even mention it.  But The New York Times noticed with an April 19th editorial entitled:  Denying the Right To Choose.  Hmm  "Denying the right to choose."  What an incredibly original and creative way to express the issue.  Who says The New York Times uses talking points or tired old sayings?

2 little morsels seemed to jump off the page at me.

“Yet these five male justices felt free to override the weight of medical evidence presented during the several trials that preceded the Supreme Court showdown.”

Notice how they go out of their way to say “male justices” ?  Could this be another tired, talking point? “It’s males suppressing females!”

Here’s a flash for our clear thinking historical revisionists: Most of the leaders in the pro-life movement are women, not men.  But you won’t read that in the New York Times. Neither do they complain that male justices upheld abortion in 1973.  You see, males are allowed to make decisions when they’re liberal decisions.

The next tasty morsel:

“It severely eroded the constitutional respect and protection accorded to women and the personal decisions they make about pregnancy and childbirth.”

What a crafty, deceitful, disingenuous statement:  The original Roe Vs Wade and Doe Vs. Dolton rulings were not to allow abortion in the third trimester. At least, that’s how Pro Choice people defended it:

“Oh we won’t allow it in the third trimester when the baby is viable and could live out of the womb.  Don’t worry.  We aren’t for that.”

Of course, the law in fact did allow third trimester abortion if the health of the mother was at risk. And health could be defined any way a woman and her doctor decided. Health could be defined as her feeling the stress and inconvenience of a pregnancy.

1973 opened up Pandora’s Box and the box is almost completely empty now.  We have moved beyond abortion to infanticide for infants who could live outside the womb of the mother and be cared for by another  if the mother doesn’t want her own baby. We also have physician assisted suicide.

With this low regard for life, what will be next?  We have already traveled along the spectrum from babies who cannot chose to speak for their own lives, to adults who can choose to die.  What’s the next, step and missing link?  What’s the next movement along this slippery slope?  I think the prediction is rather obvious: Adults who are no longer allowed to choose. Mandatory euthanasia!  We've already seen foreshadowing such as the Terri Shivo case. Even before, Shivo, the popular phrase: “Quality of Life” was becoming ordinary even though it is also absolutely chilling.

We may be on a road without any turns but for now that drive has been slowed down by the Supreme Court and for this, we should all be grateful.
